Atermit has been producing roofing and siding materials since 1956. The production, which started with corrugated sheets produced from asbestos cement, covered the whole of Turkey with the establishment of the Adana factory, then the Izmir factory in 1977 and the Kocaeli (Gebze) factory in 1987. As the importance of energy insulation increased, EPS filled sandwich panels were introduced to the developing industrial roof and facade cladding market in 1994.
In 2006, the export markets were revived with the asbestos-free (NT) fiber cement sheets developed by Atermit, and they started to be exported to more than 20 countries.
In addition to Atermit fiber cement corrugated/flat sheets, slates and EPS filled sandwich panels, trapezoidal and sinus profile sheets and metal tiles produced from a single layer of metal are also produced in Atermit factories.
