Thermal insulation

With the targets set for 2020, the European Union aims to reduce energy use by 20% in 20 years and to obtain 20% of the energy used from renewable sources. The first part of this goal, the greatest potential for reducing energy use, is energy use in buildings.

The situation is not different in Turkey. A very important part of the energy used is obtained from fossil fuels and these fuels are imported. 85% of the buildings in our country are uninsulated, and the insulation thickness of the insulated buildings is less than half of the European average.

Atermit recommends EPS, which is known as the most economical, most performance and most sustainable product for thermal insulation of buildings. The capacity of Aterpor, which is produced and cut from blocks, and Aterboard, which is produced from molds, has made Atermit one of the largest EPS producers in Europe, thanks to the investments made between 2010-2012.

Atermit thermal insulation products are marketed under our company's brands such as Aterpor, Gümüş Aterpor, Aterpor Neo and Aterboard. In addition, many thermal insulation (ETICS) system provider companies are also marketing Atermit thermal insulation products with their own brands.

EPS’nin Çevreye Etkisi

Environmental Product Declaration studies for EPS products produced by Atermit were made by EUMEPS in 2023. In the study below, the values of 21 EPS product manufacturers from various European countries, including Atermit representing Turkey, were used. You can find the MCD reports of white and gray products in different densities below;
